Vapor has a new product to alert customers of notifications and alerts for Vapor hosting products and also customize alerting for customer-specific issues or notification.
How many unread emails are sitting in your inbox right now? Do you delete them right away? Skim over them? Or do you flag it to read later, only to forget. Texting is one of the best ways to communicate in real-time to customers and external resources. Because most people always have their phones close by. Time spent on mobile phones keeps on growing. Mary Meeker’s 2015 Internet Trends Report was recently released and shows adult users in the US spending almost 3 hours per days on mobile, which is more than desktops.
The purpose of the text notification is to notify all employees at once of any major issues. This gets the communication out to your staff faster. Prior to this service we would only notify the company point of contact. Each employee individually has to opt-in to receive these alerts. Any employee who opts-in will receive a text notification. This optional notification is part of your email hosting package and is how your company is notified.
The other text alerts we are offering are company specific notifications for managed services related issues at $19.95 per company per month. These alerts would only be sent out for issues affecting multiple users that Vapor provides monthly support to. This again would be an opt-in text notification. If a company chooses not to receive these texts, we would send an email notification as an alternate to the company point of contact letting them know of an issue.
